What a weekend! As of right this second, the StandWithKT.com website is just eight people shy of hitting the 10,000-fan benchmark on Facebook.
Could reaching this milestone come at a better time than this? I don't think so. Because also right this second, GIN is holding its Go Five Star event in Chicago. Dozens of the people at that event will be dining with me personally on Sunday as a thank you to them for standing with me and contributing to my legal defense fund. It will be an amazing experience.
I was also amazed this week when I saw that the U.S. Supreme Court actually showed some respect to the First Amendment when it ruled that the government (namely the FCC) can't go nuts fining broadcasters when a minor slip-up occurs and someone says a bad word. But like pretty much every government body, the Supreme Court didn't do enough to protect our free speech rights. Read this article to see how the justices found a way to NOT rule on whether the FCC has the right to censor us.
Excuse me, justices. But our Constitution has already made that decision for you! The First Amendment says Congress shall make NO LAW limiting free speech.
So folks, even though this week has been encouraging in some ways, we are reminded once again how important it is to StandWithKT!
