The Fourth of July can be a confusing holiday. A lot of people think it celebrates the day we became free from an abusive government.
But actually, it's the day we simply DECLARED our independence. We then fought a war that didn't end until 1783. And it took another 4 years to establish a Constitution we could all agree on. That's an 11-year process!
Right now, I'm also in a multi-year process thanks to an abusive government. It gets me frustrated at times, but after events like Go Five Star this past week, I feel encouraged to keep fighting for freedom, just like our founding fathers. Stand with me and make a contribution today.
Think of it as the 2012 version of the Declaration of Independence.
